No, it's not a canine comic.

But after spending a long while floundering over forced conversation between my characters to try to set the scene, I had the brilliant idea to begin from the POV of the family dog. This has solved my problem. The scene can set its own self around her whilst she does her thing. This feels good and right, and it's a lot more fun to draw (and, I would imagine, read) than jumping straight into talking heads. How great are dogs?

So meet Elka. Her sixth sense is speaking up right now, and her little dog brain is trying to make sense of it. Of course, it doesn't make sense at all - she just knows that something is going to happen. Isn't she sweet?

There is a strong likelihood that this page will be redone at some point. I just do not like it. If you are seeing this message, then it hasn't been fixed yet.

As good a way to start a comic as any other! I like it! :D And you're good at drawing dogs AND setting the scene, I really like that last panel.

@Oly-RRR: thanks! That last panel remains my favorite so far. It must have just been a fluke, because I haven't done one so good since.
